Assembly themes

At Stratford Primary, assemblies are a vital part of our school life - they help us to communicate our school vision and values. PSHE is central to our assemblies and we also practice embrace fundamental British Values and collective worship, where children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural curiosity is stimulated, challenged and nurtured.

Every Monday we have a whole school assembly in the school hall with a key focus linked to local, national and global events/ issues. Every Friday we celebrate the achievements of our children in our celebration assembly.

Throughout the year, assemblies might be planned and delivered by the School Council or Year 6 House Captains.
We also invite visitors to come in and lead assemblies, including visitors from the local Church, Holy Trinity Church; local business owners/ employees; Emergency Services; authors; artists; musicians etc.

Throughout the week, children have class assemblies, Key Stage singing assemblies and reading assemblies.
