I have been in education since 1993 when I started out as a teaching assistant working for Service Children's Education in Belgium. Over the years I completed my degree in English and Music with The Open University and have worked in a variety of schools in Germany, Dorset, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. teaching all year groups. I quickly moved into leadership and became a headteacher in 2011. In 2017 I was fortunate to become the head of Stratford Primary and with an excellent team led it to outstanding in 2018. In September 2019 I was asked to lead Heathcote Primary School in Warwick and moved to Executive Headship. I am an extremely positive person and instil 'can do' attitudes in the children under my care. I want the children to have fun and look back on their primary education remembering all the good times. I encourage my staff to research different ways they can improve educational experiences for children and have completed a post graduate certificate in educational research ; focusing on mathematical learning and behaviour management.
I am passionate about ensuring that adults build positive relationships with children and understand how their lives impact on their learning. We are always thinking of different ways to inspire them and help them learn especially preparing them for their future careers.
I am widowed with one son who is in The Royal Navy and a step-son who is an area manager for a group of restaurants. He is married and we now have a granddaughter who brightens our lives. My husband was an electronics engineer and retired Royal Signals sergeant. My husband featured in our annual remembrance and has been a large part of my education career. I love animals particularly dogs. In my spare time I enjoy tracing my family history, writing, listening to music, visiting new places and gardening. I am also a huge Strictly fan and love to dance. I have been known to break into a waltz or a Charleston in assembly.

Miss Tracey Parton

I have worked in education since 2014 and joined Stratford Primary in 2018. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to take on a number of leadership responsibilities across the school, including Computing Lead, Science Lead and Reading Lead. These experiences have allowed me to develop a broad understanding of teaching, learning and curriculum leadership, as well as a strong knowledge of our school community.
I’m passionate about creating inclusive, child-centred learning experiences where every child feels valued, supported and able to thrive. I’m proud to be part of a school community that shares these values.
I hold a degree in Education, with a focus on Psychology, alongside a Postgraduate qualification in Teaching, Learning and Assessment. I have also undertaken specialist training in areas including autism, trauma, neurodiversity and mental health. As Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo, I lead on SEND, Pupil Premium and EAL, with a strong focus on early intervention, removing barriers to learning and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.
I work closely with staff, families and a wide range of professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists, to provide thoughtful, tailored and joined-up support. I have developed strong relationships with local organisations and external agencies and am always looking for ways to broaden opportunities and strengthen support for our children and their families.
I previously served as Staff Governor at Stratford and also held a governor role at another school. These experiences gave me valuable insight into school governance, leadership and strategic decision-making, which continues to inform my approach to school leadership.
As Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, safeguarding is central to my work. I believe that children learn and thrive when they feel safe, listened to, understood and supported. I am committed to ensuring that every child, whatever their background, starting point or individual needs, is given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Outside of school, I’m a mum to three grown-up children, a dog-lover and a big fan of countryside walks and children’s books!
