The giving machine is a really easy way to give money to Broad street whenever you purchase something online. There are a large number of online stores which are linked including Amazon, eBay, Tescos, Next, John Lewis, Argos, Boden, the Trainline, Notonthehighstreet, Ocado, Asda, Legoland etc, slimming and beauty products, clothing, holiday / travel, red letter days, home improvements, sport and leisure, phone and insurance companies. If you buy anything online it's definitely worth checking if the giving machine has a link as it gives a valuable donation with no extra cost to you.
If you ever buy anything online, registration is easy.
1) simply go to www.thegivingmachine.co.uk
2) click join at the top (giver).
3) Find a beneficiary to support (Broad Street School)
4) Fill out your details
Once registered follow the following steps to make sure they donate on your behalf when you shop through them.
1) Go to thegivingmachine.co.uk where it's hopefully remembered your details (if not login)
2) Click go shopping
3) Search for the online store you'd like to buy from and once found click shop now then continue
4) Shop as usual
If you remember half way through shopping that you'd like to use the giving machine, continue to add the items to your basket which should then be saved but before you checkout, login to the giving machine then repeat the steps above. When it opens a new tab for your store the items should still be in your basket and you can continue from there.
You'll get an email confirming your gift which will show you you're doing it right. You can also add stores as favourites simply by clicking on the heart.
Finally, ask other family members if they can do the same.
